Is SmartWorkers still in beta?
No. SmartWorkers is a live production platform launched in May 2025. The iOS and Android apps are available on the App Store and Google Play, and the full web experience is at https://smartworkers.com.au. There is no waitlist or beta gate for the core product.
How do I create an account?
Download the SmartWorkers app from the App Store or Google Play, or sign up at smartworkers.com.au/signup. Create your account with email and password, then verify your email. One account works across web, iOS, and Android.
Is SmartWorkers free to use?
SmartWorkers offers free core features for workers: profiles, search, portfolio, map browsing, networking, and messaging. Smart Pro ($19.90/month in the mobile apps) unlocks advanced features. Builder and enterprise browser workspace pricing is custom — see /builders and /pricing.
What is Smart Pro?
Smart Pro is a subscription inside the iOS App Store or Google Play SmartWorkers app at $19.90/month AUD. It unlocks advanced mobile features and monthly Smart Coins. Web Smart Pro is arranged through SmartWorkers contact — see /pricing.
Can I use one SmartWorkers account on web and mobile?
Yes. One account syncs across smartworkers.com.au, the iOS app, and the Android app. Sign in with the same email on any device.
What is Pro Tender on SmartWorkers?
Pro Tender is SmartWorkers' browser-based site workspace for builders and invited subcontractors. It covers units, stages, teams, documents, SWMS review, toolbox chat, deliveries, work plans, budgets, and field tools. Subcontractors join via invite. Help: /help/team-workspace
What is the SmartWorkers builder workspace?
The builder workspace runs in the browser at smartworkers.com.au/dashboard for head contractors and site teams. Pricing is custom based on company size, project volume, workforce, and modules — contact SmartWorkers from /builders.
How does progress invoicing work for subcontractors?
Subcontractors on SmartWorkers can raise progress invoices tied to unit stages on a Pro Tender site. See /subcontractors/invoices for the workflow and /subcontractors for related tools (NFC check-in, live board, unit management).
What is NFC check-in on SmartWorkers?
Subcontractors can write NFC tags at site and use them for crew check-in. Tags link to a unit or site context so attendance is recorded in SmartWorkers. Official sign-on and sign-off on iOS require scanning the NFC tag. See /subcontractors/nfc-writing and /subcontractors/labor-and-checkin.
What are Smart Readers and site attendance on SmartWorkers?
Smart Readers are registered site presence devices used on some Pro Tender sites. On sites where a builder has installed them, the iOS app may log presence using Location services, including in the background where permitted. Presence logs may exist even when automatic attendance is off. When a builder enables Smart Reader attendance, our systems may create attendance records from arrival evidence — but NFC remains the trust anchor for official sign-on/sign-off in the app. Privacy: /privacy (Site attendance section). What is the SmartWorkers live board?
The live board gives subcontractors a real-time view of crew and site activity on a job. It is part of the subcontractor toolkit — see /subcontractors/live-board.
What is SmartWorkers Digital ID?
SmartWorkers Digital ID is your professional identity inside the app and on web Profile — aligned with the Wallet surfaces on mobile. It helps builders and trades show verified work context alongside portfolio and profile.
What are SmartWorkers Shorts?
Shorts is the vertical short-form video tab in SmartWorkers (like Reels). Browse, like, share, and follow creators. Shared links use smartworkers.com.au/shorts?v={videoId}. Requires a SmartWorkers account for the full feed.
How does the SmartWorkers map work?
The Map tab (mobile) and /map (web when signed in) show listings and pins you can browse and open in context. Use it to discover nearby work and listings without leaving map view.
How do I find jobs or tenders on SmartWorkers?
Browse the map, search at /search, and use the tenders portal at tenders.smartworkers.com.au. Builders post tender context through Pro Tender workspaces; workers discover opportunities via map, search, and network.
How do ABN-verified company pages work?
When a business verifies its ABN, SmartWorkers publishes a public company page at /company/{slug} with team and portfolio. Search at /search or use the company sitemap at /api/sitemap-companies. Only companies that verified on the platform appear.
How do I find people on SmartWorkers?
Use /search to find workers and companies without signing in. Public profiles live at /profile/{username}. Profile sitemap: /api/sitemap-profiles.
What trades does SmartWorkers support?
SmartWorkers supports Australian construction and trade professionals: builders, subcontractors, plumbers, electricians, carpenters, HVAC, painting, plastering, tiling, renovation trades, and more.
How do I update my profile?
Open Profile in the app or on web when signed in. Update skills, portfolio posts, certifications, and availability. Some settings still start in the mobile app; web stays in sync for public profile preview.
Can I use SmartWorkers to hire workers?
Yes. Builders and employers use SmartWorkers to post work context, run Pro Tender sites, search for trades, and coordinate crews. Subcontractors use progress invoicing, NFC check-in, and crew tools.
What is SmartTalk / messaging on SmartWorkers?
SmartTalk is SmartWorkers direct and group messaging — inbox on web at /messages when signed in, and Messages from Profile in the app. Threads tie to real work and connections.
How do builder pricing and Smart Coins work?
Builder workspace pricing is custom — scoped in sales to your company size, project volume, and modules. See /builders and /pricing. Smart Coins (10 coins = $1 AUD) are separate and used for AI and metered actions in the mobile apps.
What are SmartWorkers coins?
Smart Coins are in-app credits for AI and certain metered mobile features. The public rate is 10 coins = $1 AUD. Coin packs are available inside the iOS and Android apps. See /pricing and /subcontractors/coins-summary.
Is SmartWorkers down or having issues?
Try signing out and back in. If that does not help, contact admin@smartworkers.com.au with details.
How do I report a problem or inappropriate content?
Report in the app via the three-dots menu on any post or profile. Or contact admin@smartworkers.com.au from /help. Reports are reviewed by the SmartWorkers team.
How do I delete my account?
Settings → Account → Delete Account in the app, or visit https://smartworkers.com.au/account/delete. Data is permanently removed within 30 days. This cannot be undone.
